The thing about lead is a bit of a whoopsie... The Romans KNEW that lead was harmful. It was seen as necessary in some applications. The same way that just 40 years ago, leaded paint was seen as necessary to prevent weathering. Or 30 years ago, when leaded petrol was seen as necessary to prevent engine knocking. Can you imagine if some future civilisation digs up a city, frozen in time, in the 1990s? They'd find CRAZY concentrations of lead in the air (from leaded petrol), they'd discover all the applications for which we used lead and will say stupid things like "They just had no idea that lead was harmful..." No, the Romans KNEW that lead was harmful and they did they best to limit any exposure to it. Some use was seen as necessary, however, which puts them on par with modern humans in terms of decision making, re lead! Especially when the lead in their pipes wasn't even hazardous (link below)! www.earthmagazine.org/article/romes-lead-water-pipes-likely-not-health-risk

That's some good info, but it's not at all fair to assume that any Hollywood filmmakers are aware of any of this information (11:40). Being rich and famous doesn't make anyone immune to ignorance. The glaring stupidity of almost all space fiction, including 2001 and the Expanse, is the fact that almost all jobs in space will be done by robots. There is zero need for humans to explore anything first hand. That idea is pure narcissism. There will never be any space heroes flying around in little space fighters saving the day, ever.

Do the following experiment: three doors, two people not seeing or hearing each other, one saying door A, one saying door B, the machine opens door C, showing it's empty. According to you, the first person doubles her chances by changing from A to B, the second by changing from B to A.

The tallest mountain thing is kind of silly. The relevant thing is the distance between where you start climbing and the point you reach, i.e. the top. Lots of mountains come up from a valley or plateau, which could be high above sea level already. But when a map says its 14,000 ft, it's feet above sea level, not the bottom of the ocean or center of the earth.

We tend to lean towards the idea of a black hole being a worm hole. The white hole theory is actually quite nifty. I would expand on it, potentially there is only ONE white hole per universe. Each universe' white hole could possibly be the final re-entry gate, for every black hole in said Verse. I.E.: our universe is still expanding from our Big Bang event, still growing from that origin point. It being the white hole, and our Verse just keeps feeding it "trash bites" and sending them back to the main originating body to be recycled for the next addition of our Verse. Then again...what if black holes suck resources from our universe, and the NegaVerse(Anti-Verse) keeps them in reserve somehow. Waiting for enough black hole material from one, some, or every multi-verse, to create that next BB event in a new additional Verse? Almost like a capacitor. While its still not 100% accurate, we currently lead with the rule of "equivalent exchange". If the materials are taken, they're not gone...just stored and reallocated. I love these questions, sadly I'm just smart enough to get myself in trouble. Just a few thoughts, if I've missed something...try to be cordial. Not trying to get into a word battle, just want some ideas and facts to bounce around if you have them. Or even just other theories on the topic.

Take two of these precise watches and stick them in the drawer for 2 years and find they are precisely exactly the same. That's when you take one out of the drawer and send it to the space station for example also for an extended stay. Returning to Earth and going back to the drawer, the watch that was at the space station will indicate that the time is earlier then the watch that remained in the drawer. The watch that went to the space station is no longer as old as the one that remained on Earth but it's younger sibling even though they are both manufactured at the exact same time. This affects satellites like GPS and geosynchronous with recent announcements to create Standard Moon time with a similar shift in time as compared to timepieces that are not moving on the Earth.

Maybe a lack of anything else in there can point to these individuals in the Black Sarcophagus being negatively regarded. But that still doesn't explain why you go to all that trouble to make a massive black expensive granite coffin for a few nobodies. What if they were upper class but not well liked? So no stuff went in there with them in their already built stone coffin? What if they were significant criminals? What if they feared Vampirism, and it was massive and closed tight and too hard thus to open from the inside? Or occult practitioners sealed there for the same reason? To say they were insignificant people and yet they went to the trouble of a stand alone massive expensive burial is not very logical. At least it isn't to me.

Theory of relativity makes no sense. Einstein replaced the Aether model of the universe with space time continuum. The problem is that he never explains what the physical properties of space time are. If massive objects bend space time then you have to explain what those physical properties of space time area. He doesn’t explain anything. He inserts mass and energy which we have no idea what they are and vuala we got a theory hahahahahhahaahah mathematical garbage that’s all relativity is.

The Monte Hall problem: "If the host had showed you your first choice, and it was a banana, then you would have a 50/50 chance at winning the million dollars when you chose from the remaining two curtains." Really? If you do the maths like you did to explain the unintuitive odds of choosing from the remaining curtains after the host shows you a curtain you DIDN'T choose first - which you should or else you're invalidating the whole explanation - then you still have 66% odds of winning by picking one of them. Clearly this is wrong, and so is the main explanation. You said, "We have a hard time evaluating the odds when the conditions change." But since the condition DOES change, just evaluate the new condition on it's own. You've got a 1/3 chance of winning on the first choice - which doesn't count anyway because a prize is never awarded upon that first choice - and you've got a 1/2 chance of winning on the second choice. The second choice is a new game with different circumstances. Yeah, the unintuitive odds are mathematically correct for the situation as a whole, from beginning to end. But when faced with your second choice of picking between two curtains - on its own as if the first choice and the first reveal never happened, then the odds are 50/50 as intuition tells us. And that IS how you should look at it, because the third curtain, the first choice and the first reveal don't really matter. The second choice is a new game with different circumstances. The show would be exactly the same with just two curtains and a single choice between them, except for the missing layer of suspense and drama. The mere fact that one of the three curtains is revealed, and you get to choose again from the remaining two, makes the first choice from three curtains a completely unnecessary and pointless step to even consider. It's nothing but a suspense and drama tool and a time filler. The only necessary part of the game is that you've got two curtains and you've got to pick one of them. Otherwise - if we take the unintuitive explanation as the right answer - we're saying that you've got 66% chance of winning the game period if you just always switch, and ain't no gambling establishment, or television game show, running a game with odds in favor of the player like that.
